Bit naughty of Yell though, their attempts at copying your site are crap. I'd be severely unhappy with that tactic.

In short it is part of some enhanced listing thingy what comes with the yellow pages add. Its rather generic, but better than nothing I suppose whilst my own site is still waiting to be listed. Just don't like the redirected number.

yes. i have also emailed yell telling them to take the site offline immediately.

its misleading and not something i want left online - for a start, they have 'south shields' in website name & address, yet constantly say 'north shields' every other sentence. im tempted to also phone the local rep and ask why they think its a good idea to put a copycat misleading website online, complete with many spelling mistakes

TBH I think those yell sites look very poor...It looks like generic carp!

If I was looking for someone and came across that site I wouldn't be ringing them up..

it is generic crap. apart from name and location, its almost identical to the site they have made for Binky

Wouldn't mind but it seems to emphasise PAT testing to the search engine, which is not my idea of fun.

I don't currently subsribe to Yell, having had poor results from it previously, The generic site generated is a freebie bolt on to yellow pages, no doubt as some clever ruse to build websites for people. For the momnet though, its free, but when my own site eventually surfaces I think I shall ask them to remove the freebie and link directly to my own.

quick update - spoke to local yell rep who had no idea yell had even made a site for me.... great isnt it. anyway, ive told him to get it taken offline, and it should be gone in a day or 2

yet another update.... notice yell made another 'site' for me a few weeks ago. after many phone calls, it was finally removed...

so those of you with yell, check they havent done the same for you
