Heatrae Sadia Amptec 12 KW Boilers states HOFR cable must be used

10mm or 16mm HOFR does not exist.

Would fibreglass sleeving be suitable fitted on standard cable inside unit?

kim,

Is this a single phase boiler?

As if it is 3 phase then you will not need 10mm, or 16mm sq cable.

Batt do it in various sizes,

Try here:

638TQ cable | H07BN4-F Cable

& here for the spec sheet

http://www.batt.co.uk/upload/files/638tq_1280148992.pdf

3 & 4 core from 4mm sq to 300 mm sq, 5 core 4mm to 95mm sq.

Any use?

This ones a single phase 220v unit, but you can put up to three 12KW together, then obviously it would need three phase one per unit to balance it out.

Normally I would fit 16mm to mini distribution sub board with 63amp breaker as dp isolator and 10 mm down to unit with fibreglass sleeving on tails inside the unit for fire/heat protection....Incoming mains into boiler is close to heat exchanger which is copper and heating at 85 Degrees, I always leave airspace between this and cable sleeving.

kim,

If it is a single phase unit then the 3 core H07 will do you fine this is available in 4, 6, 10, 16, 25 and on up to 300mm sq

You don't "have" to balance 3 ph supplies but it is better ;)
