Made a cable jack out of conduit and conduit boxes, great for small cable drums and easy to dimantle and put in the back of the van

Thats what i have !!!!!!

I was always making conduit ones...

Ingredients

2 x 20mm right angle boxes

4 x 500mm 20 conduit threaded at one end

screw conduit into boxes until you run out of conduit and boxes

drill 25mm or 32 mm hole through back of boxes

use the 2 conduit boxes with the right angle 'legs' as end pieces.

cut head off janitors broom and use to hold cables [having slid handle through boxes first]

possible to use another piece of conduit instead of broom handle.

broom handle suggested for 2 reasond

1} winds up janitor

2} conduit costs

another version is a piece of 200mm with an 'S' shaped bend with the 2 halves of the 'S' at right angles to each other. make 2 of them left handed and right handed. Canot pot a pic as an ex employee stole mine and I have not got around to making another......... :coat

Mine is the same as Kerching

except i have conduit going thru boxes and held in place with conduit barrels

over the 20mm conduit i have 25 mm coduit to aid the drum to rotate,,,,,,this 25mm doesnt go thru the box

IIRC there was a similar thread to this many moons ago somewhere.

here's todays efforts

decided to raid the metal shelf and found some rollers. that find made things so much easier

took about 20 mins, and ive made it adjustable

originally, i was going to make the entire thing form metal. but decided to use wood instead, since it was easier
