.................  transfer a folder from Evans  Electric emails  into documents ( or anywhere on my computer )

Email  is now called Outlook   was Hotmail .

I have an email from a Forumite sitting there and I cannot move it out of Outlook/Hotmail .  I'd like to put the folder into my Business folder within the  Documents section.

Tried to minimise and drag but no .   I can sent it to my BT email address but can't get it out of there either.

Any ideas or does it have stay put ?

Every email program I have seen archives stuff in it's own file system, rather than just being logical and storing each email as a file in a standard file system

So short of copying and pasting the content I don't have a solution.

but there are more clever people than me on here so there might be a way to do it.

Deke,

do you want to save the email as is to your local computer so you can have it when you have no Internet?

Or, does the email have an attachment you want to save?

Or, do you want to keep the email in your online email system, but just move it to another folder in there?

Its a PDF  file sent by your good self Sidey ,   OK I can read it where it is but it just makes more sense to put it in my Documents  , the Evans Electric folder .

Just could find a way to move it anywhere other than sending it to myself at BT email .

So yes I want to save it to to Documents .

You're a gent Sidey ..    as I said , I can open and read it where it is but I find it strange that it cannot be relocated.

I'll give it another go Stepps  but TBH no options present themselves.

On saying that its probably my ineptitude .

as I said Deke,

I neither use windows, or outlook, so my options are probably totally different to yours.

on clicking an attachment I get the choice to either

read

or

save

is there no option to save it,?

rather than just read it?
OK  I just downloaded them as  a ZIp file into Documents .  Just have to open them now , it was my PDF Opener before but now I need something else by the look of it .

Why is life so difficult sometimes ?

There was an option in blue that I didn't really notice TBH   so now need to open Zip files .

Thanks for your input Stepps.

Think I need to find a ZIP opener .....working tomorrow so best get to bed .....first job in 3 weeks ...getting lazy .

I'll give that a quick try Stepps.

Naw   I'm falling asleep at the desk , try it tomorrow.

In Outlook click on the PDF file attachment to highlight it, then right click it and select "Save As", then choose your folder and change the name of the pdf file if you want to, then hit save.
