ive sent a few emails to admin to gain access to the tips of the trade forum but had no reply is there any other way

Do you mean e-mails or Private Message's (PM's) He may get a lot of spam & junk e-mails so you may be at the bottom of long list, best to try PM him. Use the "send private message" link on his profile page.
