went to a job to disconnect a cooker and found there was no cooker outlet and the cable just went through a little hole in the base of the CCU

some trunking and an hour later it was fixed.

Ouch.

Metal box, little (probably sharp edged) hole, no grommet (not that a grommet would fit that tiny hole)

It's a wonder it didn't go bad day explode

It took me ages to carefully drill that little hole as I didnt want the knockout to come loose. With the recesssion I cant afford grommets any longer.
