 A touch of real world perspective in you beer is needed there Andy! :|

Free to whom... every member of the population who requests a copy...

whether an electrician ?

or just interested in electrics?

or a tutor?

or someone doing a C&G's even if they fail and drop off the course?

how do you discriminate between eligible and non-eligible?

and who pays for all these free copies?

We have discussed this somewhere else on another older thread..

But the thing you need to remember is...

BS7671 is a specialist publication with a limited sales volume..

It is NOT you average paperback best-seller, bulk purchased and sold at your local supermarket...

The cost reflects this speciality..

Ask any other professional in other trades about specific documents/books/publications they have to purchase...

and how much they are! ;) :)
but this is different from getting a book for general reading. they expect you to do stuff safely, but rip you off on the publications for it. it should be cost price only to electricians.

7909 is even worse - thats around

trust me, you need it so get it... I am just at the end of my L3 2330 and you will need it in your second year of L2 and throughout ur L3 and 17th...

Level 2 i think you can get away without it, but id defiantly recommend it for Level 3. Which reminds me i need to buy myself a copy :|
