Iffy phone call

Has anyone had a call from somone saying they are BT and British Telecom, kept on refering to BT . Talking about how busy am I , got your name of ELECSA , how soon can I start a job? When pressed about BT seemed to lose interest and rang off. !! :|

had the same call, bit like a watered down yell.com,

'we have loads of work in your area, got your number from Napit, are you busy or could you do some work for us? we need a reliable sparks so that when people ring we can make sure they get the best sparks, all we need is for you to pay.....blah blah blah'

my mate fell for this and never got a button from them, unlike what they got from him, i think it was

I had a call last week, but the caller was such a pushy b***, I told him where to go! Glad I did...

i keep getting the same 2 phone numbers coming up,,, i have them listed as

when they call i accept it ,,then bin it,,,, must annoy them lots

And I thought I was special........We're BT and we have people ring US with electrical problems, and as you are reg with Nic we'd like you to have all the work...............OK mate 1 moment i'll just get a pen to get the details from you......turn on speakerphone,,,,,,, At this point i hand phone to 2 year old child.......6min and 31 seconds into call the line went dead....I was gutted....

What will i do now, as all these people calling BT with electrical probs wont get me to do their work..............and i was so looking forward to it.........

I've been getting the same calls.

Last time I told them they were actually stopping me from working and I really wasn't interested. As much as I could do to keep myself calm.

Thing is they rang me on my mobile, skipping the business line which is the only line I ever give to other business's.

I'm trying to nail down WHO (elesca, training co, etc) is selling my details so I can send them my bill for time wasted X( and breach of trust with my details.

when ive pressed a few before they have told me that they have got my number from the chamber of commerce

got no idea if this is correct
