Illuminated Bathroom Mirrors

As I understand it, a bathroom mirror light should come on a couple of ways.1 when the bath room light is on can be then turned off by activating mirror sensor. 2 when bath room light is off it can be activated by sensor again.

Is there any configuration I have missed ?

If this is correct, then what is the best option to wire it? The bathroom lights are four 12v spot lights

Well my bathroom mirror has an separate isolatable supply to it.

If you want it to come on, irrespective of whether the bathroom lights are on or not, move your hand in front of the sensor

Just wire it for the built in sensor .
