Illuminated light switch

Hi

Does anyone know where I can source a two gang white plastic light switch that has neons or some other sort of illumination when the circuits are on. (Aged customer keeps leaving the fan and the light on in her bathroom!)

what you need is a 230v one of these wired under the fan

probably better than an illuminated switch.... after all, if she cant see the light is left on, what chance does she have of noticing the illuminated switch....

What about some sort of sensor? my elderly aunt used to have one in her flat.

If the plastic is thin enough, using a neon behind the switch plate might work?

and drill the fascia, I'd solder the wires and resin over the connections and finish with a terminal block for final fix

other wise go for a PIR solution as I think someone else has suggested

Not wanting to be the one to pour a damp squib on things.....

but doesn't this "litswitch" glow when the light is OFF so you can find the switch in the dark?

whereas OP wants a light ON when the switch is ON,? ? :|

Dam!!, its possible you might be able to mod it, after all it's feeding from a switch live

As it's designed to replace a standard switch, it can only be powered by the existing arrangement e.g. switched live

I would imagine it's arranged as a cross over circuit

I'm talking about the sort of switch the OP is after... for that to illuminate when the switch is on, will require a neutral (unless its in series )

Agree for it to illuminate when off, a "changeover" arrangement would suffice - but again not be ideal - give me a neutral anyday!

What about a sensor of some sort, light goes on when old lady enters bathroom, light goes out when she leaves??

If she cant see shes left the light on, then how on earth is she going to see the light switch lit?
