1st one is Germany - not sure where but I reckon its the VW factory the towers are an automated storage facility with a car in each of the bays. great pics

I was reading about the Berlin Wall recently - if I remember correctly when it was first built the building shown with scaffolding was one of those that was so close to the wall that people were jumping from the windows to get over into the West! The authorities responded by bricking up most of the windows... starting from the bottom.

This forced people to jump from higher up, and the wall claimed it's first victim when a woman fell to her death.
