Help

My indesit integrated oven has stopped heating up. The lights work, the fan works, the grill works but the oven just wont heat up. Is this a simple fix or a more complex and expensive problem?

Thanks in anticipation of your help and advice.

Presuming its electric - It would most likely be the element, which most of the time is an easy fix. Make sure you get the right 1 though. It's located at the back of the oven behind a metal guard, in front of the fan. A few screws and to undo and a straight swop. Make sure the cooker circuit is off though !

to purchase the right element you will need the model number

this is normally located on the housing when you open the door,,,,its either a white or silver sticker

i would inspect the element before ordering for signs of damage (bubbling)

What sort of oven? Single oven, dual oven? Grill in the top of the oven or separate?

Does the SAME thermostat operate the grill as the oven or are they separate as well?

Does the oven have multiple "modes" i.e fan, convection etc? if so does it work on any mode or is it completely dead?

It is a single fan assisted oven with grill inside. As I say everything seems to work except the oven won't heat up. Seems from the replies it is either the element or thermostat. Thanks for all your help I will try to locate the right parts and replace it.
