Hi to all,

Can anyone tell me if there is a difference between installing a electric cooker and a induction hob.

I've been asked to do the wiring side of it, i've done a few electric cooker install's but this one is a first.

Thanks for any advice.

Mac

im going to fit a sub board for the kitchen to power the hob and for lighting circuit, so yes it will be notifiable. The hob is going to be in the middle of the kitchen so going to have to route the cable through the floor.

where was the hob purchased ?

Ikea ones have an earth leakage issue so rcbo may be a thought

check manufacturers info

I think they are purchasing it from hammonds kitchens.

I was going to use metal conduit because of the concrete floor, has anybody got any other ideas.

a bit of 2" waste with double 45s at each end,you might find it tight to pull a 6/10mm through 25mm galv if the need arises.
Exactly what I used on my last island worktop install. :Applaud

did you put it down as a deviation ?

using non-standard non electrical containment systems,

you naughty, naughty boy,

Dekes secretary will be making sure you dont do that again!!!!!

I'm next, :D
