installation of pv system basics

Hi,

I'm going to do some training on installation of PV systems next week.

Can anyone who has experience in this field pointt me in the right direction as to what is involved.

I like to be prepared and would like to turn up on monday with a basic knowledge of how it all works.

big things on roof, DC +ve and _ve cable run to DC isolator. DC isolator to inverter, inverter to ac isolator in ac cabling. Ac isolator to Genereation meter, meter to CU. It's really that simple. Technical bit is orientation of array to sun, and balance between Array and Inverter - most critical part of system, other than how to fix array to roof. If you have an electrical background, then cabling is quite straight forward.
