Like that idea, as it will allow me to minimise time pole is lying around on site - it's not the best part of town!! Was also considering using a hinged pole to avoid necessity of hiring a platform - I don't have a H&S ticket for such things, (not that it would stop me anyway).we allways dig hole get a piece of plastic pipe 300dia cut hole in side of pipe75dia drop pipe in hole fit 75mm pipe into side of 300mm pipe then concrete pipe in place when set drop column in pipe level up then fill it up with sand then cap top 50mm with cement yours benji
Tilt over columns are often a good bit more expensive, but then this can be offset by the fact you don;t need a tower every time the lamps need changing. Another option might be to just stick a ladder doobrie on the column. Was also considering using a hinged pole to avoid necessity of hiring a platform - I don't have a H&S ticket for such things, (not that it would stop me anyway).
