Siemens Starter Software to interrogate some of their drives here

I spent 3 hours today uploading drive config and downloading the same config to a new 11kW MM440 drive

What should have normally taken 20 mins with a proper drive took 3 hours with a phone call to siemens tech support

Yeah.

Stunning software. Bought the ever-feffing-cable, but lappie won`t install the bleedin software, FCOFL :(

Paddler: I know what you were saying about BOP interrogations, but we`ve only one bop, and 2 drives (one in the van, and one on site!)

erm - spoke to the snake hipped one today, and mentioned, in passing, that the BMS PCB adjacent to the drive (and the drive is connected to), has a contactor between the drive output and the load wiring. He thought that may be an issue. Do I assume you`d concur?

Power supply - can`t see it, as there are 4 other drives off the HVAC DB, only this one is flagging a problem!

Windows Home editions dont play in any way with any siemens software as far as i know
Ballcocks!

So I`ve got the hardware, and no way to use it! Bummer!

We think that the contactor might be controlled from the fire alarm circuit - i.e. stop the output in the event of a fire signal................

If done properly then no - I doubt its been done properly so yes it will be a problem
Worst case - drive running very low HZ giving out pulsed AC near to DC contactor switches and either melts or catches light

And Windows Home editions dont play in any way with any siemens software as far as i know
