A short barrelled pistol in .410 or 9mm calibre can be held on a standard FAC with a good reason. Pest control around buildings is given in the police firearms guidance as such good reason. Shooting animals in buildings and ricochet risk is my thinking.
I shot a Belgian Blue bull weighing in well over a tonne earlier this month with the .32 and he dropped perfectly. No problem. He's the biggest thing I have shot IIRC. No problem.
(I've also had issues shooting sheep with the same gun when a RFD sold me some unsuitable ammo!)
