What this does say is that the learning process nevers stops, but I wonder whether more emphasis should be put on making these various laws etc more widely known, particularly as one can easily be tripped up by them.

 
In the latter years of the Thatcher administration

it was widely thought that a lot of industrial and

commercial legislation had been relaxed or revoked.

Nothing could have been further from the truth.

 
Tap off box. Adequate means of isolation of industrial machinery, approx 3/4 meters away from machine?

That is the rub with the WAH regs as Sidewinder says.

The central intent is that work at height is avoided

and if the user has to gain access with access kit it

is a no-no. Looks like stating the obvious but that

is it.

It is not often stated in print and some might

look at the following and say "that is obvious"

but along with;

1) Reasonably practicable,

2) Reasonable duty of care,

one could also add "reasonable foresight" in

connection with selecting, fixing and use of equipment.
