Evenin` Mark - How`s you doing?

Just to add my twopence worth - my flukie is currently undergoing surgery - I`m really missing it. I`m very happy with the costs, and can`t wait to have a happy, healthy flukie back in our home ;)

KME

Thanks for all the nice comments, your meter should be back soon KME.

Why didn't you say sooner Mart, I would have lent you mine, until yours is back mate.

The one experience i had with them was not a good one. That was a couple of years ago now though.
That's not terribly useful. Can you explain what the problem was?

Can't fault the company myself. I lost invoices for my mft and long lead. I contacted them 6 months later with details and they kindly sent me copy invoices in PDF via email Same day as I enquired . aaaaaaaa********* service IMHO cheers

I was not going into details as its a forum sponsor.

But, if you insist.

I purchased a test kit with the promise of a free clamp meter.

Kit turned up, no clamp meter.

Phoned and was told it was on its way. This happened more times than i can remember.

And then, miraculously, after i had written a letter of complaint to the powers that be, it turned up.

Not good service in my opinion.

This is why we have a personal review section.

However you did get what you expected albeit late,I would expect that the procedures they now have in place would help to negate this happening in the future. However we will not know unless members let us know through the personal reviews section of this forum.

I'm sorry you had problems with us and only hope we have not put you off for life, if you do ever consider us in the future you can always get hold of me directly, details on the web sitebad day explode

I needed some new leads for my Megger 1552 due to fluctuating low-ohms readings. This was also affecting Zs readings, particularly with the no-trip function. I suspected the problem was down to poor contact at the point the leads plug into the meter, evidenced by the fact that turning the plugs in the sockets influenced the readout.

Anyway, because he is a forum sponsor, I PM'ed Mark and subsequently phoned him about a set of Fluke leads. We had a discussion about the problem and I purchased a set of Fluke TL165 leads.

Spoke to him on Wednesday morning, ordered and paid for the leads which, because I am a forum member, Mark kindly gave a discount on and said leads arrived today (Friday).

Plugged them in, moved them around, yanked them here, there and everywhere and got stable readings. Tested them on my Calcard and all was well. Did a no-trip Zs on a particular circuit in my own place and the reading came back within 5% of calculated whereas the megger leads gave me a reading 4x what I expected.

So, in summary (there is another post about these leads somewhere), If you have a Megger 155x, get a set of Fluke TL165 leads, and buy them from Megger Mark. You won't be disappointed.

Thanks for that info springcrocus. My megger MFT leads have been getting a bit dodgy of late. I may just buy a set of those leads and from mark.
