So being doing it now for the last 18 months learning fast and enjoying it until I got the phone call saying that "unfortunately I'm going to have to lay you off" just as I was finding my feet.

Anybody know of any work around the Midlands?

Who's contracting at New Street?

I did a lot of hotel refurbs, a bit of industrial and some large scale domestic. Cheers Bacon.

 
I bought 2 makita drills last week as well. At least they wont get dirty.

Thought of going self employed?

That's what I did 8 years ago when offered voluntary redundancy.

I would now hate to have to go back to having a "proper job" and all the office politics and inflexibility that goes with it.

 
should have put a bid in from the lot of us.... I'm sure after a year or two of arguing over an exported earth we'd soon knock it together
