Im just wondering if anyone is using iZettle (or similar) to allow them to take card payments as im thinking of binning taking cheques (except for an occasional trusted client)?

At 2.75% its not that bad, is it?

We have no means of taking cards, never have, not been much of a problem, for the level of domestic, it's not worth it for us really.

99.999% of our business is B2B on nett monthly.

That means BACS or, the odd, cheque these days, mind, some of our customers are moving to the new fast bank payments, in your bank the same day they pay it from theirs! ;)

I'm not really looking at binning cheques for existing good customers,,, it was more for new customers.. Like most of you I also have businesses that like to use cheques, BACS or bank transfer

I've now got an iZettle account (LOL) but will need to wait a month or so before I ask for a chip & pin reader (EE are doing them with upgrades and I'm due at the end of June)

For the few occasions we have to take payment by card (mostly for the B&B) we use Paypal.  No fee if you get them to make the payment as gift to friend or family.
