Open wi-fi is the norm around here. I have unlimited unthrottled and I've always left it open, we don't have any legal requirement to log anything and I'm not interested in doing so TBH. I know a few of the local schoolkids don't have internet access at home so it was mainly with them in mind. I got to the stage where the usage was getting a bit high and my ISP asked nicely if I could reduce it so I limited it to 250mb/day for any mac address not listed as an exemption and we're back down to using about 60-70 Gb / month at present. I've had a few copyright notices that arrived via my ISP but I requested they stop sending them and they kindly obliged.

Didn`t need correcting mate - Paddler originally said that, if he recalled, I`d done something similar recently - which was the comment I was referring to.
