I want to install a KB Sounds Premium DAB radio system in a new wetroom we are building, my question is this. Is it ok to take the power supply from the upstairs lighting circuit to the transformer, or the ring main and fuse it down, (or either?)

My second question is that also in the bathroom will be the following 2no shaver sockets, 1no mirror with light, a pair of LED lights in an alcove and of course 1no central light linked to a L/Volt extract fan, I want to make maintainance easy, so was just going to juntion box each iten into the lighting circuit and label each drop for the future, I will of course wire the light and fan from the switch in the usual manner.  Is this the best way to add multiple items.

Thankyou in advance for your advice.

Thanks for that, not very constructive though, the product is designed for bathroom and kitchen use, and you didnt actually answer any of the questions?

Spider everything from its own dedicated radial,

Make sure the hub is accessible, and all accessories are isolateable.

Oh, and make sure the relevant IP ratings are adhered too, along with 7671,

And do make sure LABC is informed, where relevant.

Welcome to the forum, there are no regulations stating that certain accessories must be taken from any particular circuit. But the regulations do require you to select a protective device (e.g. fuse or MCB) able to carry the expected normal maximum current of a circuit and its associated accessories. And a cable must be selected able to carry the full current rating of the protective device. Anywhere along the circuit that conductor capacity reduces then additional fusing must be provided.

Which basically means you can supply loads from any convenient circuit providing appropriate fusing is in place. Where the natural logic of a supply is not evident clear labeling and documentation should be provided. Any joints or junction boxes must be accessible unless they use maintenance free terminals or crimps. So the best way is whatever is most convenient for your particular building arrangement.

As mentioned some of this work may be within the scope of Part P building regulations, so your LABC must be informed to obtain the compliance certificate, unless you can self certify the work yourself?
