ok redman.... seeing as you've asked twice... and everyone is ignoring you... i'll answer your question....he's going to remove the cable ties, becos' he can't be sure that they're up to the same british standard as the cable i guess... i.e. can the cable ties withstand 70 degrees of heat like the cable...

I'd go with that, and also makes removing them for testing easier.

virtually everything else be it a socket to a huge busbar chamber/switch panel have very good shrouding which massively help accidents thats just lazy on the manufacturers part imo
