Jeez I really am slipping, perhaps it’s time to see the doc about the old memory. I really should know better. 
Perhaps you should ...memory loss  doesn't affect us younger guys  .

Specs , you see,   is still using up lead sheathed , cotton fabric insulated  cable from his shed before he graduates upward to VIR  . 

If I ever get to remove another one, I will try it on the wood burning stove.

Was he the guy at my local car boot the other week, the one buying up all the old red and black cables? lol

I  didn't think you could burn an old Wylex, didn't the yanks use the same stuff on the heat shields of their space shuttles. lol

 
Back to it being a Dual board  ...  have you put the circuit neutrals into to  main  ( non RCD ) Neutral bar ? 

If the lights were working before I'd guess theres not a dead short  but there may be a  Neutral to Earth fault that wouldn't affect an old fuseboard . 
I was just about to ask the same thing. 👍
