Why do you ask? Lightning conductors is a specialist subject, but to test impedence of the rod, it makes sense to me to disconnect it.Has any one ever heard if testing a lighting conductor impedance by disconnecting the rod from the down conductor and testing between the 2 open ends.
Bonding to MET?Yes disconect. The rod. But to then just test disconnected rod to bonding tap does not give you a impedance of the rod.
Shouldn't installing a TT rod be a specialist subject then as many of them are badly installedWhy do you ask? Lightning conductors is a specialist subject, but to test impedence of the rod, it makes sense to me to disconnect it.
