Lights from a plugtop

The fuse is there to primarily protect the cable . Using flex from a plug top seems like good practice to me :)

 
All I can say is...Flex!!!

got to be in a plug top!!!!

even if you need 1.5mm sound upto 16A!!!!!!! ;) :D

I'd probably say you'd get a 2.5 into a decent plugtop. 4mm I wouldn;t even bother trying, 16A plug and then short 16A socket to BS1363 adapter made with 1.5 flex.

Would have to be a bloody long way to start needing 2.5mm, or even 4mm at 13A max.
