If in theory I wanted to put up a temporary light or couple of lights run from a plugtop - assuming the sockets are wired in 2.5mm - should i also use 2.5mm cable for the temp light? (My thinking being, it's not dissimilar to a spur).

Or,

Because of the 13A fuse in the plugtop and the demand of the light(s) - can it be wired in 1.5mm?

Thanks!

the fuse in the plug will protect the cable, so use a cable rated to that. dpending on lights, you could use 1.5mm with 13A, or maybe .75 with 5A fuse
