I advise setting a long or permanent keep on server with POP3 mail as it is increasingly common to watch accounts on phones, pads, laptops etc and need to see and find messages on any and all. Outlook in particularly was very bad at setting up with a default to delete after downloading and removing n years of message history from the server in a flash. Then delivering messages to a random one device in 4 thereafter Always easier to refine this once the messages are safe :).

And new year wishes to all !!

right heres something interesting ive put a shorter adsl cable into router from adsl filter (was on a 10 m suppose to be best type steel braided type cable and lo and behold reconnect the router let it stabalise and heres the new result, shorter wire now being used at maybe a metre max. !

To make it easier to compare, here are badgers before and after shorter cable results.

(I also note the servers have changed)

deke we are testing the speed of the routers and i think folks have put theirs up basically to get an idea of the speeds in the areas of the country,
I knew that much Badge , as I started the thread ;)     It was the technical stuff  about halfway through , POPmail etc.

What is the PING thing ?

Can't post my speedtest results as I'm not at home but I currently get around 55 Meg download and 18 meg upload from Plusnet. Can't fault them for speeds at all. And they're pretty cheap compared to a lot of companies out there.
