it is good, glad i did not have to get the carpet up, yer its prob been there since a good whilewhile i was spliting the ring, a grommet would be nice

good find

had similar a few month back. dead short N-E. started splitting the ring and halfing the circuit. finanlly found a socket with a spur with the fault, and then a hidden socket otherside of room. took front off, fault gone. quick check of neutral, and copper showing
