Main beam headlight not working

Hi I have a Chrysler voyager (03) and the main beam headlamp on the left won't work. If u disconnect the fcm unit and put a connection from the connection wire to the battery no lights work - but if u connect direct from battery to the bulbs then they work. Do u think I need to to replace the fcm unit or the wiring? Can't see any loose connections or signs of corrosion but have spent a fortune so far trying to get this car through mot and this is the last bit to be done so want to avoid spending out too much by guessing!

I "think" there is a headlamp relay & fuse on these, which may be per side, so check that first?

Have you an owners manual? It should tell you which fuse and relay is associated to which light.
