Hi new to forum so please be gentle,I have to change rcd to a main switch on a tt, using split load cu so rcd's already present and original rcd not time delayed. I am a bit tight for space as you can see and need to enter switch from below, switch from old cu and was fed from above,my question is does it matter if incoming top or bottom off double pole isolator?

Thanks thought so but started doubting everything lately as using it to join elecsa, next question I have labeled cu as main switch would this now be the main switch so would I remove label and put one on this one?

Why do you think you NEED a switch before the CU?

If it's just to avoid altering the tails into the meter, I would just fit a pair of henley blocks.

After all, you are going to have to isolate it somehow (main fuse?) to change the RCD for a switch, so what's the issue?

I am going to put a switch there so any further works needed I can isolate without having to pull main fuse( which is not allowed) :pray

Best not discuss how you are going to isolate in order to swap the RCD for a switch then :innocent
