Hi

I am in the middle of putting in a new door step and have dug a trench to allow a 200mm concrete footing, as it's only light foot traffic and also in solid clay so a good base.

However I have come across the mains cable coming into the property, and not where I was told by SWEB at the time it should be.

Can anyone tell me the best way and what best to use as a conduit to encase the cable in prior to concreting.

Thank you
Mark

get some 50mm pipe and cut a slit along the length and the slip over the cable, then do the same for the gas pipe and push it tight up to the wall where they enter the house,

Thank you, the gas pipe is now obsolete was the old feed, but my foundation came just level so not buried. Pipe idea perfect. All done just waiting for it to set now.
Not sure why I didn't think of that🤔. Perfect solution.
