Big three day  pop festival near us , parking problems & can hear it 2 mile away , not a problem , kids enjoying themselves and its over tonight .

Thing is , I never heard of anyone appearing except , vaguely, Elliie Goulding  :C

We are going to our local music festival in August.  Great family weekend out.

Headline act this year, Tom Jones.  Yes I feel old.

Ellie Goulding,

I quite like some of her stuff,

but, I know what you mean about not knowing half the 'acts' , :shakehead

I dont know most of the stuff on 'pop' radio when the young lads at work insist on having it on,

luckily they are usually outnumbered and its something like smooth or real xs that is on, or planet rock if someone has a DAB

Its Smooth  with my usual builder but after two days they play all same records again .  Seems to focus on mid 70s to mid 80s .

Twice a day you get  " He 'aint heavy he,s my Effin' Brother "       Followed by "Dancing Queen "  and " Unchained Melody".   Wears thin after a week .  :coat

they are all the same,

I suppose there are only a certain number of records on their playlist,,,

Ive sort of got into the habit of changing them around each week now.

Don't worry Deke, it's not an age thing. You just have a too refined taste in music to know about crappy pop. (At least that's what I say when people ask why I don't know who's being played on Radio1 :slap )

Usually R4 for me, or classic fm.

Unfortunately i have not yet learnt how to work the radiogram in the new van so the wireless retunes itself to the nearest station when it loses the main signal.

I have done about 2000 miles in the last 12 days.....you have not lived until you have heard Radio Dumfries or Radio Cumbria!

Must get some more 8 tracks as a contingency

Just driving me mad

On the subject of Radio 1...... Why do they have to repeat RADIO 1 twice, as well as the DJs name twice?

Just irritates me

You know what, I have never even noticed that! Bet it's gonna bug me too now...

I prefer kerrang, but i can't tune in to it in the van and even if I could i would never be allowed to listen to it :slap

Or of course P4 Radio Dalarna, but I have to settle for podcasts with that one :D
