Does anyone have a Square D  QOE   50A  type B S/Pole MCB  ?

I sourced a 45A  the other day , fitted customer's 10.8KW   Mira   which is working fine but pulls 46A,

I suspect that a long shower will trip the 45A , so wish to uprate it.

Forget it Deke, @ 46A I doubt a 45A will trip!

@ 50A according to the bullrush charts in 7671 @ 50A a 40A B curve will take over 10,000s to trip, that's over 2.75 hours, would anyone shower for that long?

I should have checked , thanks , I was lucky to get a 45A,   I just didn't want any more call backs , getting really anoying , usually certain light fittings from certain wholesalers carping out  and going back replacing stuff for begger all .

Did this job yesterday , wire & fit shower and fit remote fan in loft , testing at 4.30 , brand new (Hager) RCD not tripping until it has read the paper , folded it up , took a drink of tea then operated the trip .   So a dash to the wholesaler for another , save going back next day.   Theres another hour to the job .

Job in Worcester Monday , this is when unreliable goods can really catch you out , 100m round trip.

You are obviously out of your depth with this!

PM me and i will, give you the number of a certain P .P.  McP who will put you right
Why didn't I think of him in the first place :innocent

Tuesday & Thursday I was 70 miles each way!

1.5 hours due to roads & traffic basically, each way.

THEN you don't want to forget things you can't do without!!!

try going to a job 50 miles away at 0100 on a saturday morning, then on arrival, remember that you took your tool bag out the night before to do something in the house, and walked past it on the way to the van...

And the trouble with this trade is amount of different bits , bobs  & gizmos we need to carry out a job , especially your side of it .

I know this causes a lot of the crap work we come across , bloke working away from suppliers , poor back up from company, pressure to be finished on a certain date , other trades breathing down neck  etc. , not carrying enough back up materials .

Drove up to Cumbernauld, did job. Labourer loaded van when we finished. I did customary last sweep to see if we had left anything.

drove down to Ashford ( kent ). Labourer slept most of the way. Arrived at hotel, opened back of van to get overnight bags out.........Oh flipping flip, where are the flipping tools you flippinig flipper

still in Cumbernauld!  Client found them and put them on an overnight carrier for us

Moral of the story?

is a thing lost if you know where it is?
