hi Bulmer,

i have those leads i got them because i needed the tips for my assesment, they have stayed in the packet for 9 months, i dont know why i dont like them, just dont.

funny enough, my megger had a fault on it so sent it off for repair, they sent me new leads back and even supplied a plug attachment, so now i have a spair :) i even have new batteries and calabration cert.

so my view is to spend the xtra few quid and get the megger ones

Looking at getting a new set of test leads as the original megger ones are knackered.Have looked at these http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230409310451#description

Anyone had a set and if so are they good.

Are there any other sets of leads anyone can recommend, idealy with croc clips that are stronger than the original Megger ones.

Thankyou
Bit of an old post, but I'll add me two pence worth. The Megger leads are pretty dire to say the least and after a while you will notice that the resistance level picks up.

I bought some of those leads from the Cal Centre and I have to say there are better IMO than the Megger ones. The Croc clips are better and you can swap the croc to the probe.

Just be careful of the points on the probes they are as sharp as needles, but give a great connection. Get my vote ;)

The Kewtech aren`t bad leads, either.

N.B. review of the KT62 MFT coming up soon........me fluke as gone t1t5 uppards :( :(

Anybody got a link to a decent repair place?

If not, I`ll prob. send it back to ISS, as it came from there originally..........

You're not wrong about the croc clips

Found out about the sharp tip within about a minute of taking the protectice tips of em. They are very sharp indeed
The only drawback IMO is they don't do replacement croc clips or GS38 tips for the leads, so I'll have to keep a close eye on them.
