Evening all

Been to a job today where customer has 3 cunsomer units, and each one has a seperate MEM isolator switch. Just wanted to know if theres a similar replacement or cheaper option than the

its an old biscuit tin fise board, probably got 30 amps fuses x 2 for the sockets and cooker, and a 5 amp for 1 or 2 lighting circuits and 1 15 amp for immersion heating circuit

They used to isolate three seperate consumer units one on each floor of the property. All single phase. Youve got meter tales into services block and then split into three of these. Boards are old wylex rewireables and getting all changed. Image is only for ilistration purposes and not actual item.

What size cables\what size fusing will be required? Something like the MEM 800KMF would probably do the job. There's a thread on the matter somewhere with some cheaper alternatives. About

Personally i would have kept the old isolators, but customer wants them changed. Ground floor expected to have 3 x ring mains, cooker circuit, electric shower, 2x lighting, underfloor heating for 3 rooms.

Cant see that it would exceed 100 Amps.

The other 2 floors will only be power and lighting.

Currently 10mm cable feeding each board which ime upgrading.

Will get some more photos give a better idea what ime talking about and get more details on the switch gear.

I see you've sort of edited\added to\done something to your post above. If you're putting new submains in then go for the 800KMF and size the fuses appropriately.

Is this domestic because if so type of cable you use will be relevant if any is buried etc. More info needed to exactly what you are doing and type of property. What is the main fuse because that is relevant to what size fuse is in switch fuses also is incomer single or three phase.
