Those sodding meter maids have been round to change a perfectly good meter to a prepay smart meter, and now I have the job of reconnecting the consumer side cable as it is “too short”. ( after they cut it)

Ye, the other meter is for the upstairs flat.
SplitCon cable. I would complain if it was my flat. He said it wasn’t burnt out or anything, they just changed the meter including the gas meter. Cheeky twats.

Not so bad in the end. I pulled it out the back and boxed it after I saw the cable in the bin store. The tenant would have never got any sense out of the electric company.

That looks terrible. I would have jointed in the box and bought some 6181Y through.

Not much space in the meter box with that short concentric to put Henley blocks in there.

6181Y ? That is 25mm meter tails. I think you are looking at the wrong cable.
