Has anyone used this before? I did some subbing for a guy in july, took ages to pay and only paid half, so now he still owes me 700quid. So taken it to the courts. Just applied now took all of 5mins.

This is indeed a legal process, and was set up to save all the hassle of claiming small amounts of money through solicitors and the like. The process works and is often the best way to get the money you are owed. The amount you are claiming if unpaid, and goes over the

which means nothing in the process of getting paid !
No thats the only down side, you can win and still not get paid, but it can mean you can apply for bayliffs, and the debtor gets a ccj which wont clear until the debts clear. My old man did it for 4k 5 years ago. Heard nothing back from it for 2 years after being found in favor until the bloke wanted some credit.

I have used it and the joke is that the second the claim was contested it was transferred to a normal court and took 10 months to even come to court. Waste of time IMO. Baseball bat easier, quicker and more fun! Aah. nothing quite like the sound of splintering bone to wake the senses up after a grubby day chasing!
