this board is the only 1 that has no RCD protection. all others have an RCD before the board

A lot of work there to sort that lot out. I take it that it failed miserably on a recent safety inspection, if not should have done.

i was asked to price to install some lights/sockets & tidy up wiring in 1 unit, and install from scratch in another (that only has a 16A TPNE socket fed from another unit at the moment). at a minimum, the unit he wants the work done in will need ripped out and started again, along with new submain. will also be recommending a TPNE board straight from service head/meter, with RCD'd feeds to each individual unit

still need to look into it further, but fortuantely, they are all low power units, so should still be OK wit the existing service head

If you get it Andy, don't forget some nice Before, During and After pics please mate. (Digital Camera?)

:)

Up here in London we dont get many TT installs, the service head in the first pic looks like TNS. All 3 phase supplies here ( for at least 25 years now) will have a seperate earth brought in ( sometimes coloured black) ?
up,

dont you know you are down in London,
