Hi All,

We had 16 x Sanyo panels fitted in February 2012 (during the consultation/court cases), and therefore just before the government put the axe down on the higher FiT rates.

It has now been 32 months and our family situation has changed and my disabled mother-in-law has moved in with us and we need to make changes to the house to accommodate her. Part of this could lead to the need to remove some of the panels off part of the roof and moving them to the new roof addition to the house. The system will be exactly the same after the work is complete as it was before (i.e. same orientation, same panels, same inverter, same wattage....)

Does this constitute a new installation, will we be moved to the most recent FiT rate? :-(

Has anyone gone through this?

Cheers

No is the short answer, but if the system is down for any length of time, then when you put your next FiT claim in you may get questioned as to why the reading is a bit low. Just tell them the inverter failed and you had to wait for a replacement.

Just do it.

Can you arrange for the displaced panels to be temporarily ground mounted for instance during the work to maintain production?
