multimeter help please!!

Hiya team , just got a cheapy meter for testing a few circuits ive made ( ring and lighting ) the meters split into 4 sections but with different setting , i used a pro meter in my training (but moneys tight at the mo) so i just want to get used to testing .

Which setting (number) should i use to test ? its hard to explain without pictures guys, i just need to practice with this till i get a "megger". Cheers for any help........... Steve

Have you got a picture of the meter that you have?

Which tests are you wanting to do?

Make - Model?

If you are unable to take a pic, can you search the net for a pic of the one that you have, and post that link on here?

I assume you are talking about continuity tests?
