an fcu would have a fusePlugs have fuses, sockets don't have fuses. Either way as you have the fuse why not look at it to see what rating it is.
Damn, Andy beat me to it.
But before any fuse replacement you need to find out why the fuse has blown.
https://www.youressentialshop.co.uk/plug-through-night-lightIs it a plug? Plugs have fuses but don't have a light
Hi Moocow. Our boiler has stopped working and the light on the plug socket on the wall has turned off, i assume, but could very well be wrong, that the fuse has tripped, what kind of fuse would be in that plug socket?
or just test the suspect fuse with your phone. saves a bit hassleYou could also put the suspected blown fuse into another plug, just to see if it's working.
Is there an app for thator just test the suspect fuse with your phone. saves a bit hassle
Is there an app for that
interestingdon't need an app, just a capacitive touch screen, which most are
Good idea! But on my phone, the end of a fuse has only just a big enough area. A smaller area contact won't work. So try with a good one before you rely on this method.
