I can get anywhere through sheffield and i'm very reliable, if anyone can let me know with details it would be appreciated. Even if no one is taking on now ive got till september so any suggestions are welcome.

Good luck with your search. :) If you don't mind me asking, how old are you?

If you'll be 16 when September rolls round, it's worth sending letters to every electrical company in the area, even the council. I was always told to do this around January/February, following up with phone calls over the next few months.

It's hard work and it's not easy up here at the moment, but with a bit of luck you'll find someone willing to take you on. If not don't give up, get yourself onto 2330 at college and sometimes a placement can come from that.

Marc.

Edit: You don't have to be 16 to do this obviously, but with regards to wages etc a lot of employers seem to prefer the younger candidates. It costs them less money, along with the funding etc that's available.
