stain it any colur and the runs will be less noticeable. It will also help preserve the panels as the treatment they come with is a bit 'thin' to say the least.

Whatever happened to Kreosote?

You can still buy creosote in large quantities as a professional user, to be fair the kreokote product our local hardware shop sells ('in a variety of brown like colours') isn't that bad anyway,

Not banned though, merely restricted. Easily available (esp. if you have a ltd. co to 'prove' professional use) but you have to buy 20+ litres.

I remember painting a ranch fence with this stuff whenever I started my first job. I managed to skite a lot of it onto my face and it was the sunniest day of the year. The face we burnt off me. All blistered and peeling. I never used it since.

I like the smell of bitumen.

Maybe I'll paint my fence with some. :slap

One of our electrician’s mates “borrowed” several tins of Trinidite bitumen jointing compound to waterproof the roof of his garage. It didn’t end well. The compound dribbled though the gaps in the roof planking, pity about his car.

I have a neighbour like that, a total merchant banker, he doesn't maintain his garden, the weeds grow through the fence into mine and that's fine, a climbing plant pops it's head over the fence and he chops it off. Just before Christmas he had his drive jetwashed, didn't bother to ask me to move my car and both itand my drive ended up covered in carp. I was most annoyed as I'd only had the car cleaned the day before, I went mental, the next thing he's leaning over the small fence at the front scrubbing at my car with some dirty old rag, trying to get the sand off the car! cue loads of little scratches. The cheeky sod said I should live and let live! anyway after about half an hour of him spouting carp and me growling and snarling like a rabid dog we reached a compromise, he keeps out of my way and I don't stab him to death, it appears to be working so far, he won't poke his head out of the door if I'm outside. Mind you last year he threw a strop and called my wife an effing bitch, this resulted in me kicking his front door down, dragging him into the street and politely advising him never to speak to my wife like that again, I think he knows I never make threats, only promises, and my mum always taught me to keep a promise.
