Been asked to help customer with getting a second meter installed for their rented property.

Existing meter is currently feeding whole property, but they want seperate bills for upstairs and downstairs flats.

Ive got the paperwork from electricity northwest, my stumbling block is the maps that you have to provide.The paperwork recommends multimap or ordsvy websites, but i cannot find the scale that they ask for.

Examples on the paperwork show two differing scales, each one shows the individual buildings so that you can mark on them where the entry point is.I have trawled multimap (now BING map),ordnance survey and land registry but cannot find a suitable map. All i can get it two lines on a blank page with a road name in them if i scale down too far.No buildings or boundaries as needed.

Can anyone suggest a site or should i just buy a paper copy of OS map and scan the smegger at two scales ?

Best place to try is your local Library they have all the maps you need. You have to buy a licence to use ordnance survey maps which can be a pain if you only use them now and again.

M107, scales would be 1:2500 and 1:500

Manator, would that mean a license needed for a one time use? cannot see me doing another of these if avoidable, but you never know.

One more question, form asks for the KVA required for the property, would this be the maximun calculated (i.e. 230v x 100A=23KVA) or am i expected to guestimate it, like max demand on EIC ? dont want to mess things up for customer by giving wrong figure. She says she has been trying to get this done for over 12months and just gets forms returned for "missing information"

last one I did I sent copy of Map from Goggle earth with property marked clearly and requested 23 Kw.

It is always best to calculate, the forms will have sections for the type of equipment and electrical machine types etc, a good calculation is better because they know you have done so. Last 3ph request I made they called me and asked me a few questions after which I got the supply I requested.

You can pay a fee for a one off use for the maps, but its not that cheap, a licence is for continued use for a year or more I am not sure as I did not go down this route. A local architect has a licence and he lets me have copies if and when I need them.

Contact your local planning office, they for a small fee will print off a 1:500 map.....mine do.
