if it was rewired 2 years ago then it should already have RCD protection, but point about testing them still applies regardless

but the simple fact is you bought something cheap from ebay which you know has wrong wiring colours / lack of adequate  instructions, but you dont seem to care that it means it may not comply with UK laws and may not be safe for use. but what the hell, it works.

After all what has been said in relation to it I will put one one to be sure.. Im not an electrician so I dont know.. I wired all my koi pond up through an outdoor switch box and thats as far as I go with electrics.. Just the wires on this got me a bit concerned. Its working ok now but will add an RCD just in case it decides to break.

Just checked with a local electrican and he has inspected the wiring and the connections.. he has advised its ok to use and will be protected from the ring main on the internal house wiring should anything go wrong..
