 HOWEVER if the current transmogrifies itself into THE SMOKE then the electric stops coming out and it is busted, until such time as more smoke is fitted. Simple really....this is the bit that most people cannot grasp

ah,

well you may well find its non compliant smoke Dave, remember, we are only allowed to use wylex smoke in wylex devices, its not been properly type tested for other devices,

so it may still not work properly, or, even worse, be dangerous, best leave the smoke re-filling to those qualified to do smoke re-filling is all I say,

I mean, how much PL would you need to do that anyway? and probably yet another book at £600, plus the registration few for the smoke fillers and boiler-stampers scam at £10,000 per 6months,

it just mounts up,  :shakehead

Don't worry about Wylex....they are MORE than capable of producing way way more smoke than we could ever need, ever!

Okay so today a simple move of the neutal connection from one terminal block to other solves the problem.

Can anyone explain why this is?

Basically the current was going out of the L through one RCD, but returning through the N of the other.  So they see it as an imballance and trip.

The current through L going out, has to return via the N of the SAME RCD to maintain balance.
