Prices must be in order of importance then :slap

Mines definitely £243 plus VAT for the Silver

I expect SW will roll in at £100  :innocent

Steps is probably £6969 plus the dreaded :pmsl1:
Canoe, is that £243 for the silver for 3 years?

i paid £330 + VAT

did it last week so I could get all the Green Stuff as well

I am not a member of the IET so it was dearer.   got a discount as i am a reluctant member of NICCY, and then it caame in a bit cheaper when I did actually committ to buy

finding it F handy at pres. particularly impressed with the cross referencing across all the GNs on OSG

just impressed, but poorer

Anyone tried to use it offline yet?

One of the MAIN reasons I have the electronic version is so that I can carry all the books on my iPad.

This version does not work!

You can't have all the books offline!

I can't believe that the IET have YET AGAIN gone for an unfinished platform!

Boy are they going to get a seriously strongly worded email later once I finish my quote.

I went Gold for 3 years BTW.

No Duck, the "bumph" states you can use it offline.

However, once you get it then this feature is to be implemented later!

I "normally" "need" to use it offline.

We are not al in an area of blanket 4G & Wi-Fi coverage that they are blessed with in the areas of the IET!

OBVIOUSLY!!!

OMFG sidewinder that sucks!

I would have thought it was a feature of the licencing system where it will not validate the product without an internet connection ie: iet phone home.

As for it being incomplete, 7671 is incomplete and this is the excuse for shafting us with amendments and now they have found another reaming tool for extracting money from ever poorer electricians.

Pay per view anyone?

Or

buy some special IET coins to spend on upgrades to your package?

Bah humbug

:(

Yes BD you do need to validate to log in for the first time, then you can download the books for offline use.

However, it does not work!

I am seriously pi**ed off about it.

The last e-book platform was sh**e too!

I can't actually believe that THE Institute of Engineering & Technology release such ropey products TBH.

They are not even Beta releases IMHO, it is appalling.

So in theory you can only read the the regs at home  :Applaud

I'm curious to know what It feels like as I have heard good reports on here, Surely if it was a beta then it would be more buggy?

Maybe the feature will be implemented on the next update/JAN 15?

:coffee

How?

It simply won't work on my iPad and, when I check the FAQ's it says it's not available!

The iPad has several Gb of spare capacity as well!

Cannot remember exactly

I think I just clicked on each Book Cover icon and chose "download"....it was really straightforward BUT i have been "medicated" since!

HOWEVER......i have Silver. I read somewhere that GOLD was not available until March 2015...could that be the problem?

Liz Wooderson is the person to speak to BUT i think she is on holiday

Liz is not on holiday, I spoke to her today, I have just emailed her & the "support" line for the system.

"Now" I have silver, early next year I will get the remainder of the books.

Yes, I just click on the book, and then I get an error, because they system "app" is not set up correctly.

Why should I spend hours trouble shooting their software, I've spent enough hours already on their previous load of garbage!

I can get one book, offline, but no more, it is to do with browser storage, but it should be configured buy the app, not the user.

It does not work on my Win7 laptop under Chrome either.

Safari on the iPad.

Strange, Liz told me she was on holiday after the first week of Dec until the new Year, that was why I went in Early. I would have done it before Jan 1st anyway so i could get the old stuff.

It seems to,work, fine on mine.....I use Safari and Chrome so am not too sure which one it launches from.

I have yet to try downloading to the laptop....maybe at weekend

Received email today saying I was being upgraded free of charge from Silver to Gold, and to click the link to find out all about it.

So it seem the Bookshelf program is being scrapped then and will be browser based only, that's a shame because I enjoyed having all copies on my desktop, laptop, ipad and iphone.

When it's fully operational you will be able to download whole books or sections subject to browser cache, not as good then in my opinion.

They didn't tell me this when i subscribed for 3 years, although with WiFi and 4G I suppose it should be that much of an issue.
