Gent after discussion at work today told he guys at work I would ask on here as there are so very helpful people on here

Can u be an nic eic supervisor for two company's

Our testing guy has been offered a job from the company we get our work from but is worried if he leaves he can not long test other work that comes in from different builders

Not as far as I am aware, I do actually know someone who tried a few years ago, and they were refused.

Skirting around third party signing off by the sound of it .......NIC are not in favour of that !

ring the NICEIC and ask

they are always ready to listen to the sound of their cash register!

there were mooted to be  discussions afoot as to HOW MANY QSs a registered company should have [ select muppet Parliamnetary committee]....so splitting a QS betwenn 2 companies id going the opposite way.

the other company would have to be NICEIC Regd......if so then thay would have their own QS OR am I misreading this

I can't see the NIC going with that TBH  ........... upshot could be , say... twenty local firms ..all with the same QM     ..not gonna happen is it ?

I thought you said he was leaving ?

If your not employed by a company then how can you take any responsibility for anything that company does ??? 

Bit like asking if my mate the car mechanic can issue MOT certificates for a testing station he is not employed by....??

AFAIAA you MUST be a full time employee of the company,

the last company I left enquired about this as they didnt want to employ another QS and were told they must employ one solely.

yes, thats what I was referring too, good memory, 

I actually stayed at the company until they got another QS employed, and its actually paid me back with subby work from them,

as the boss there said,  'you didnt **** on us so if we can push some work your way we will'

a lesson to all you kids out therte,
